Have Everything in Life You Want
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
This statement seems so counter-intuitive to our culture today, and I see many people who get lost just trying to collect things up for themselves. The more they gain, the unhappier they seem to become. Collecting and hoarding things for yourself, won’t bring you the joy that you seek. It is helping others get what they want where you will experience the joy of giving and experience the most impact.
To find or create work you love, you must help other people get what they want. You must add value to them with a service or product. There must be a market for what you are selling, and you must have a deep love for what you do. Trust me; people will know when you are just faking it. They will know, because YOU KNOW when you are faking it. Success in work isn’t always just about finding your passion, because some of your passions may be self-serving. When thinking about what career you want to pursue, think about how you can help the most people get what they want. You will derive satisfaction from helping others, and you will be able to provide for your family because the market validates you with compensation.
If you want to have everything in life you want, then start by serving others.
